Win Charles Reenie Macintosh's Port Vendres, La Ville!

Charles Rennie Mackintosh is celebrated around the world as one of the most creative figures of the early 20th century. Not only was he renowned for his architecture and designs he was also a great artist.

By 1923, he had entirely abandoned architecture and design and moved to the south of France with Margaret where he concentrated on watercolour painting. He was interested in the relationships between man-made and naturally occurring landscapes. Many of his paintings depict Port Vendres (our painting above), a small port near the Spanish border, and the nearby landscapes.

 Dimensions: 76 × 60 cm

Competition ends: 30th September 08
